Stallholder Setup Requirements
If you intend to supply your own marquee, stallholders must ensure the following:
Site Boundaries and Access:
Stallholders must only operate within their allocated space (e.g. 3x3m or 3x6m marquee or assigned food truck/trailer footprint).
Shared paths and areas outside the allocated site must remain clear and unobstructed at all times. This includes A-frame signs, stock, equipment and personal belongings.
Food stalls:
Food stalls' marquee must have three walls, or two walls if using gas appliances.
All electrical equipment must be tested and tagged by a suitably qualified person before being brought onsite.
All stalls will be inspected for safety and compliance before trading begins.
Stalls that do not meet event or safety requirements may not be permitted to operate.
Marquees:
All marquees must be event-grade structures and be accompanied by a valid Form 126A Engineering Certificate.
Stallholders using a marquee must ensure it is adequately weighted at all times.
Pegging into the ground is not permitted anywhere onsite.
Weights:
All marquees must be securely weighted at all times.
Weights must be evenly distributed across all legs. Minimum requirements:
For reference, a marquee weighted at 65kg per leg has an approximate wind rating of:
Please note that wind ratings are indicative only and may vary depending on marquee design, site conditions, installation quality, and whether sidewalls are fitted.
Event organisers may require marquees to be lowered or removed if weather conditions present a safety risk.
