About the Program
Arts Merri-bek supports performers and producers in the creation of new or existing performance works by providing dedicated rehearsal and development space at the Coburg Courthouse located at 1A Main St, Coburg.
The Coburg Court House Residency program will support up to three residencies for a three-month period each. The program aims to support artists at different stages in their project’s lifecycle, whether it is a developing concept, an emerging draft, or an existing scripted work.
Who can apply?
The Coburg Court House Residency Program is a valuable opportunity which is open to performers or producers who are in need of a rehearsal space to develop a performance work over a three-month period.
A weighting will be given to applicants who live or work in Merri-bek, or to projects that have a demonstrated connection to Merri-bek. The program encourages applications from diverse communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, migrant, refugee and faith communities, people with disability, women, girls and gender diverse communities, and LGBTIQA+ communities.

Please note: You can submit sections of your Expression of Interest via recorded video presentation, simply talk to the camera and tell us about your project. To do so add a link to the videohosted online in the text sections as appropriate.
